CaixaForum Barcelona, la Font de la Guatlla, Sants-Montjuïc
Cultural revolution and impossible reform. 1968 symbolises two very different impulses. In the West, a cultural revolution that transformed customs, values and ways of life; in Eastern Europe, an attempt to reform socialism from within that ended crushed by Soviet tanks. This session sets the Western '68 against the Prague Spring, showing their differences, their limits and their place in the history of contemporary revolutions. By Ramón González Férriz (Granollers, Barcelona, 1977), journalist and editor. He writes on culture and politics for El Confidencial and is editorial adviser to the consultancy LLYC. He is the author of several books, including Los años peligrosos. Por qué la política se ha vuelto radical (Debate, 2024) and La trampa del optimismo. Cómo los años noventa explican el mundo actual (Debate, 2020).
