'Afro-Latin Percussion' Workshop *NEW*

Teachers: La Otra Rumba. We will learn basic rhythmic patterns from traditions such as Afro-Cuban, Afro-Peruvian and Afro-Colombian music, exploring different percussion languages and their role within each culture. We will work on coordination, listening, pulse and ensemble performance, connecting with the rhythm as well as the historical and cultural context of these musical styles. Participants must bring an instrument. No previous knowledge is required.
