'Against Sharpness' Family Visit and Workshop

30 May 2026 – 19 September 2026 · 11:30

CaixaForum Barcelona, la Font de la Guatlla, Sants-Montjuïc

Why do we usually think a blurred image is wrong? Why should the undefined or imprecise be corrected? Is being out of focus a problem? The exhibition “Desenfocat. Una altra visió de l'art” shows how art has made use of precisely these qualities. After all, how do we represent dreams? Distant things? Speed? Magic! We will have the chance to explore this in the exhibition and experiment with it in the workshop space. So be clear about one thing: focus on blurring, softening outlines... and discovering everything that fuzziness can bring to creation. The family visit is a participatory tour of the exhibition involving all members of the family. Different learning activities, supported by educational materials created especially for the occasion, invite observation, dialogue, experimentation, play and creation. Join a visit designed especially for families, led by an educator, lasting 90 minutes and including a tour of the exhibition with participatory activities in the exhibition space and a workshop at the end. Recommended for children aged 6 and over. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.

Part of the programme: Estiu als Museus. 21 activities in Barcelona, from February 26 to September 30.
