'Agustí Duran i Sanpere. Culture as a Public Service' Exhibition

Arxiu Històric de la Ciutat joins the events marking fifty years since the death of historian Agustí Duran i Sanpere by presenting an exhibition produced by Museu de Cervera and curated by Lluís Bellas. It explores his many roles as a man in the service of culture and a pioneer in archaeology, ethnography and popular culture. The exhibition also includes a selection of original documents from the Arxiu itself, bearing witness to Agustí Duran i Sanpere's legacy as the Arxiu's first director and promoter of Institut Municipal d'Història until 1957.
