'Altres mons. Un viatge extraordinari pels mons imaginaris de la literatura catalana' Exhibition

4 November 2026 – 8 November 2026 · 16:00

Fabra i Coats - Fàbrica de Creació, Sant Andreu, Sant Andreu

The imagination of the Catalan-speaking lands is full of places that have been explored and documented, but also of others born from the imagination of authors of fantasy genres. The central exhibition of the sixth edition of Festival 42 brings together some of the non-mimetic worlds that Catalan literature has imagined and created as settings for its stories, and shows how these universes have evolved and engaged with one another over more than a century. From Canigó, by Jacint Verdaguer, or L'illa de les tres taronges, by Joan Fuster, to Cold Skin (La pell freda), by Albert Sánchez Piñol, Negorith, by Ivan Ledesma, or Stella Signata, by Ricard Efa, the exhibition covers twelve types of fantasy worlds and puts classic and contemporary works in dialogue. Original illustrations by Eduard Jounou, Arnau Vendrell, Lucía García, Raúl Grabau, Carolina Veciana and Maria Sagrera offer a fresh look at these literary landscapes and turn the visit into a true journey through the other worlds of Catalan literature. Curators: Laia Rubio, Javi Fernández (Narranació). In collaboration with Biblioteques de Barcelona and the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes (ILC).
