'André Ricard. Disseny en ús' Exhibition

André Ricard. Disseny en ús is a tribute to one of the most important pioneering figures in contemporary design, an undisputed reference point and a key voice in promoting and defending locally created design. The exhibition champions a career shaped by the desire to influence everyday life through objects designed to be used, understood as tools serving people and society. The exhibition offers a dual reading that allows visitors to approach Ricard's work through different layers. On the one hand, it presents a selection of emblematic objects conceived as timeless pieces, integrated into everyday contexts that highlight their functionality, formal clarity and continuing relevance. On the other, the exhibition invites deeper exploration of the principles and values that guided his professional practice, as well as his work as a theorist, communicator and promoter of Catalan and Spanish design, a role that is often less visible but essential to understanding his legacy. With an educational and informative approach that is also open to reflection, André Ricard. Disseny en ús presents design as an engaged discipline closely linked to use, social responsibility and critical thought.…
