'Arar' Concert
27 September 2026 · 13:15
Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm, la Sagrada Família, Eixample
Show title: Arar. Original music. Barcelona-Girona. Arar is a small-format project that plays with words, loops and things that can mean more than one thing at the same time. A musical macramé of guitar, saxophone and voices that can only be understood through all its elements together. Do not miss it if you want to immerse yourself in a delicate, evocative and nuanced musical universe that is always distinctive. It is the project of Barcelona composer and performer Marina Tomás Amado, who has contributed guitar and vocals to the music of Maria Rodés and Joina, and Girona saxophonist Maria Cruz Millet, whom you may know as a collaborator with Pepet i Marieta. They have already appeared at this year's FiM, the Fira de Música Emergent i Familiar de Vila-seca, where they performed in an intimate format combining strings, wind, wood and voices. Their sound is characterised by original compositions born from the rapport between the two members and their desire to explore sound through their instruments.
