"Avinguda Gaudí, una memòria viva entre la Sagrada Família i l" Exhibition
4 July 2026 – 15 November 2026
Sant Pau Recinte Modernista, el Guinardó, Horta-Guinardó
An exhibition showcasing the Sagrada Família and the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau. The axis formed by Avinguda Gaudí is much more than an urban link between two masterpieces of Modernisme. At the southern end, the Sagrada Família, the work of Antoni Gaudí, stands as a universal spiritual and creative symbol. Gaudí made the neighbourhood part of his work: he used local residents as models for the sculptures on the Nativity façade and built schools for the children of the workers and the neighbourhood, showing a deep connection with the community. At the northern end, the Hospital de Sant Pau, designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, represents the highest expression of Modernisme applied to public health. A hospital-garden complex where light, colour and architectural beauty are part of the healing process. A living heritage that has been the setting for life, death and hope for generations of Barcelona residents. See all the details on the Sagrada Família website. This activity is part of the Gaudí Year commemoration. Last updated: 5/03/2026
