Centre Cívic Guinardó, el Guinardó, Horta-Guinardó
Trio Orfeu Joan Sancho, violin Jordi Roure, viola Mariona Tuset, cello Bach's Goldberg Variations Originally titled Aria with Diverse Variations, this is a keyboard work composed by J. S. Bach in 1742. It is one of the pieces most treasured by lovers of classical music and shows the architectural beauty of Bach's writing. According to Forkel in his 1802 biography of Bach, the variations were commissioned from Bach by Count Kaiserling, Russia's ambassador to Saxony, so that his court harpsichordist could entertain him during sleepless nights. The concert will intersperse explanations of the form of this work, one of the most emblematic in the history of music
