Basel architect Barbara Buser saves buildings from demolition and converts them using reused materials. She transforms former industrial sites into urban living spaces that stand for careful treatment of the environment and for harmony between people and their surroundings. As a woman successfully forging her own path in a male-dominated field, Barbara Buser is a role model for the young generation fighting for a more sustainable, fairer world.
