The circuit kicks off on 8 October with a concert by Marta Garrett and the circus show Banaba Flup by the Street Fools. Two shows at two civic and cultural centres in the Xarxa de Centres Cívics network, the first of 145 free performances and concerts (booking required) scheduled over 11 weeks. Venues and times can be checked and seats booked on the Barcelona Districte Cultural website. The 20th edition of the circuit features plays such as 360 grams, a piece born from its lead performer Ada Vilaró's personal experience of breast cancer; Clochard by Paco Mir and Grappa Teatre, a tale of humour and tenderness starring an executive and a homeless woman; and Fumando espero, in which La Bacanal combines humour and criticism, cabaret and historical memory to address gender, the role of women and censorship. Circus artists also take part, such as Nando Caneca with Uco. Un paisà diferent and Eia with La Pedra de Fusta, along with performances by leading dance companies such as Lacerda, Carla Sisteré, Nora Baylach and Pol Jiménez, among others.
