"Beethoven's Eroica" Concert with Clara-Jumi Kang & Sunwook Kim

From lyricism to heroism Clara-Jumi Kang returns to our season with the sensitivity and virtuosity that have made her one of today's great violinists. She performs Vaughan Williams's The Lark Ascending, a page of unprecedented lyrical beauty in which the violin becomes a free, poetic voice. The programme opens with the Leonore Overture No. 3 and culminates in Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 "Eroica", a founding work of modern symphonic writing. All under the passionate baton of the distinguished conductor Sunwook Kim, making his debut with our orchestra.
