Filmoteca de Catalunya
A big box-office hit blending comedy-drama with social cinema and the musical. The hero is a miner's son who, in a very harsh social setting, discovers his passion for ballet despite opposition from his father and brother who, conditioned by sexist prejudice, would rather he took up boxing and became a miner.
Part of the programme: FilmoXica. See the 9 activities in this programme in Barcelona, from November 1 to December 12.
