'Brama' Concert

La Plaça de Catalunya, la Dreta de l'Eixample, Eixample
Show title: Brama presents 'La Raïve'. Psychedelic rock. Clermont-Ferrand, France. Fierce and authentic, this band's psychedelic rock from France's Massif Central occupies a territory between dream and reality, imagination and memory, which they turn into a dancefloor. Formed at the end of 2019 through the meeting of a processed hurdy-gurdy, two guitars and a drummer, Brama use sunny, always hypnotic pop colours. They do not simply give concerts: they hold ceremonies that might mix a tarantella with a psychedelic rock-and-roll mass, with the hurdy-gurdy as liturgical organ, guitar and bass as exorcised subjects, and a shamanic voice guiding everything. This September they present La Raïve, a new album in which the group transforms an imagined folklore using hypnotic krautrock, a rhythmic precursor to rave. Come and watch them explore polyrhythms and polyphony, once again celebrating enchanting Occitan poetry in which beats distort the language to create new grammatical combinations to the sound of pop melodies... and a heavy hurdy-gurdy.
