'Brushstrokes of Art: From the Splendour of the Golden Age to Modernisme' Cultural Workshop *NEW*

Teacher: Sílvia Burdoy. We will begin our journey through Baroque art in Europe and delve into the Spanish Golden Age with painters of the stature of Velázquez and Zurbarán. We will see how Neoclassicism pursued balance and the harmony of classical forms, and how Impressionism later broke with this tradition to capture fleeting light through juxtaposed pure colours. Finally, we will approach Modernisme and its imprint on our city, with leading figures such as Ramon Casas and Antoni Gaudí, among others.
