"Carolina Alabau i Èlia Bastida" Concert
10 December 2026 · 19:00
Jamboree 3, el Barri Gòtic, Ciutat Vella
Carolina Alabau and Èlia Bastida gave one of their first concerts as a duo at our festival. Now, eight years later, they are resuming their musical journey together and preparing to broaden their sound with a new project. They have changed and so has their music, and this new dialogue can be heard at Jamboree through newly premiered compositions and arrangements, with two special guests: flamenco guitarist Marc López, who has accompanied them from the beginning, and cellist Òscar Alabau, a soloist with the orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu who recently had the honour of becoming custodian and player of a cello that once belonged to Pau Casals. The concert is called Something New, a composition by the duo that exemplifies this fresh perspective on Alabau and Bastida's joint project. A night of colour and subtlety at Jamboree. Carolina Alabau, piano, vocals and percussion. Èlia Bastida, violin, vocals and percussion. Special guests: Òscar Alabau, cello. Marc López, flamenco guitar, vocals and cajón.
Part of the programme: 58th Barcelona International Jazz Festival. 58è Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona: 48 activities in Barcelona, from September 29 to December 23.
