'Ceramics' Workshop led by master craftsman Manel Diestre

Can you imagine discovering how the carnation tiles — the yellow flower that covers the house's façades — were made? The ceramics of Casa Vicens are one of its most distinctive features. Guided by master ceramicist Manel Diestre, responsible for restoring Casa Vicens's ceramic pieces, you will discover how the carnation tiles were made by hand using the original stencil technique. You will then be able to paint your own tile and take it home afterwards. Because the tiles need to be fired in a kiln, your tile can be collected at Casa Vicens from the Saturday after the workshop and for up to two months afterwards. The price includes an introduction to Casa Vicens, the roughly 90-minute workshop with Manel Diestre, all necessary materials and a self-guided visit to Casa Vicens Gaudí with audio guide.
