How do we handle the cases of child sexual violence we detect in our organisations? What is specific about cases that occur between minors? Beyond strictly applying the protocol, can we bring a restorative and community perspective to managing a case? In recent years, preventing and detecting sexual violence against children and adolescents has become an important pillar of educational associations. Yet when it comes to managing the cases organisations encounter, we often lack tools for an approach that includes a community and restorative perspective towards the group and the children involved. This advanced-level training on child sexual violence (CSV) covers the whole-school restorative approach and provides tools for applying it in addressing this kind of violence. The training is given by Sara Bernal, prevention officer at the Fundació Escolta Josep Carol. A social educator and sexologist, she works to embed a preventive perspective across the Foundation's various educational projects and services. She is also responsible for supporting Escoltes Catalans leaders in preventing and managing situations of child sexual violence.
