Complementary Activity "No Fit (Mould-making Workshop)"
24 October 2026 – 14 November 2026 · 10:00
Sala d'Exposicions Jaume Valor, el Guinardó, Horta-Guinardó
A creative proposal connecting ceramics, the body and bodily diversity through artistic experimentation. No Fit is a mould-making workshop that takes diverse bodies as a starting point for producing functional ceramic pieces. Using fragments and shapes from their own bodies, participants will create moulds used to shape objects related to food, exploring the relationship between body, functionality and representation. Through a craft process combining modelling, mould-making and ceramics, the workshop creates a space for reflection on body standards and the multiple ways of inhabiting bodies. At the same time, it offers a practical introduction to a specific ceramic-production technique, from creating the mould through the different firing and finishing stages. Participants will discover tools for thinking critically about bodily diversity through artistic practice while gaining basic knowledge of mould-making and the production of functional ceramic pieces. The result will be a collective experience of creation, learning and material experimentation. Led by Joana Capella.
