Consort Pere Serra, Catalonia's recorder orchestra, returns to the stage with an instrumental version of Claudio Monteverdi's L'Orfeo, considered the first great opera in history or, at the very least, the oldest complete surviving score in the genre. Premiered on 24 February 1607, L'Orfeo marks the beginning of a new era and establishes a musical language defining the transition between the Renaissance and the Baroque. Performed by Consort Pere Serra, conducted by Eloi Fuguet. The term's activities will be presented at 19:15.
