A selection of German and French poems and literary texts accompanied by chamber music and the voices of a choir. A recital by Manuel Forcano based on a selection of German and French poems and literary texts accompanied by chamber music and choral voices. Works of great material density and pictorial power will enter into dialogue with works by composers such as Wagner, Bach, Strauss and Mahler, as well as Schönberg and Ligeti; the spirituality of Pärt and the materiality of Xenakis. The exhibition: since the 1980s, display cases have played a decisive role in the work of Anselm Kiefer (Donaueschingen, 1945). Inside them are objects, materials and symbols acting as time capsules and synthesising central themes in his work relating to history, mythology, identity and individual and collective memory. Kiefer's display cases are condensed symbols and often combine opposing concepts. Kiefer uses materials as varied as lead, cement, glass, stones, wire, pieces of fabric, tree roots and burned books, representing ideas such as renewal, remembrance, hope and loss.
