Led by journalists Ana Rubió Jiménez and Paula Padilla Argelich. During the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), the invasion of Catalonia by the enemy army led to the reorganisation of the most vulnerable population in resistant areas and, among other initiatives and routes into exile, to the creation of children's colonies. Under the names of shelters, school farms, children's homes and colonies, hundreds of expropriated buildings were placed at children's disposal so that they could continue their education as far away as possible from the horrors of war. Ninety years later, coinciding with the commemoration of the start of the war, their protagonists recover the history of the colonies that sheltered them.
