ArtBarcelona. Galeries presents the “Art a la pàgina” series to bring contemporary art closer to users of Barcelona's Biblioteca Sofia Barat and introduce the work of contemporary artists and the galleries representing them. To explore the artists' work in greater depth, the starting point will be their publications, understood as artworks developed in editorial form: so-called artists' books. From these objects, a programme of conversations will unfold, aiming to delve into the work of selected artists together with —and in conversation with— the art galleries that represent them. Session 3 with Fernando Peracho and Marc Ávila Català. Fernando Peracho has been founder and director of Galeria Valid Foto BCN since 2009. Passionate about disseminating photographic art and with more than 25 years of experience, he has focused his work on innovation in artistic and publishing promotion and on building bridges between cultures and audiences. Marc Ávila Català is a photographer represented by Valid Foto since 2020.
