Show title: Martiago. Contemporary folk, electronica - Barcelona. Connecting roots with the present. This is the aim of a musical project born from the artist's family connection with a small village in Salamanca and the desire to bring into the present a traditional repertoire at risk of disappearing. The proposal has taken the form of an EP created with the village's residents, Martiago; the project involved a women's choir from the village and producer Yoel Molina (Casapalma). Four songs carry the memory of generations who sang to celebrate, resist and remember. Cristina Hernández and Joe Sturges reinterpret them through electronica and contemporary sonic languages in an exercise linking past and future within the same sound.
