'Culinary Autumn: from Germany to Ukraine' Workshop *NEW*
1 October 2026 – 19 November 2026 · 18:30
Centre Cívic Casa Golferichs, la Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample, Eixample
With the arrival of colder weather and seasonal produce, we will explore the cuisines of countries such as Poland, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine and Russia, without forgetting the Alsace region of France. We will prepare soups such as borscht, dumplings such as knödel, and all kinds of recipes based on mushrooms and fermented foods —sauerkraut, pickles and beet kvass— and learn how to incorporate them into cooking. We will also discover pierogi, the traditional Polish dumplings. To finish on a sweet note, we will make desserts such as Polish cheesecake and Viennese strudel. An additional fee must be paid in cash on the first day of class. The classroom is not adapted for people with reduced mobility. Teacher: Delia Laurent.
