Xavier Gumà – dance. Direction, choreography, original concept and performance: Xavier Gumà. Dramaturgy and direction assistance: Salvador S. Sánchez. Soundscape: Gerard Bosch and Samantha Collado. A journey of introspection through movement, bringing together Catalan-rooted dance and urban dance forms. Inspired by the archetypal figure of the shepherd, the piece champions tradition while transforming it into an exploration of the personal imagination. Starting from the balls de pastorets of Penedès, which the choreographer has danced since childhood, it fuses identity, community and landscape with the aim of opening a dialogue with fantasy, video games, manga, anime and dissident identities. Pastor is a transhumance towards discovery, in which the body dances between rural and urban worlds, an intimate exploration taking shape through clothing, music, bells and images to celebrate diversity and individuality. Show in collaboration with HOP Festival.
