Discover how the Banda Municipal de Barcelona rehearses! The Banda Municipal de Barcelona (BMB) opens the doors to its rehearsals so that adults and children can enjoy a unique listening experience. Assaigs amb la Banda offers the opportunity to discover, live and as a family, how this professional ensemble, made up mainly of around fifty wind and percussion instruments, prepares before a major concert. An immersive proposal to learn about the history of this century-old band and observe up close how, through constant dialogue between conductor and performers, the repertoire takes shape: tuning instruments, adjusting tempo, modulating sectional dynamics and refining musical expression until the desired precision and emotion are achieved. The activity includes an introduction by a music communicator from L'Auditori (25 minutes), attendance at the rehearsal (60 minutes) and a final question-and-answer session (15 minutes).
