Led by Isabel Garcia. The settlement where the craftsmen who made the magnificent tombs of the Valley of the Kings possible lived and died is an exceptional case within Egyptological studies. Thanks to the discovery of the settlement's refuse deposits, we have an unprecedented and exceptional wealth of information about the life and death of some of the protagonists of Egypt's New Kingdom.
