El Toc de les 12 is the event with which the Colla del Drac del Poble Nou marks the National Day of Catalonia. It is a short performance commemorating the fall of the city of Barcelona and the national defeat of 1714 at the hands of the troops of the Bourbon Philip V. This small staging is inspired by Josep Maria de Sagarra's poem "La campana de sant Honorat, 1714" and consists of a reading of the poem, a musical backing and the dances of the Fènix del Poblenou.
