'Embroidery with Interwoven Fabric Strips' Workshop

No previous embroidery knowledge is required. In this workshop we will learn to create our embroidery base by interweaving strips of fabrics in different materials, textures and colours, like a form of experimental patchwork. We will then embroider it using traditional embroidery stitches, sashiko or another quilting technique. Materials for the first day: basic sewing kit (thread, scissors, rulers, embroidery hoop, pins and marker). Participants are advised not to buy these until the workshop is confirmed. Led by Misako Mimoko.
