"Encarnar-se en la demora" Exhibition

Encarnar-se en la demora is an exhibition bringing together the finalist works from the Miquel Casablancas 2026 call, organised by Sant Andreu Contemporani. Opening Friday 12 June at 19:00. Miquel Casablancas 2026 Awards ceremony at 20:00. It is said that the best things always happen slowly, with delay. They do not come from an accelerated world; they are not the result of hasty judgements or capricious decisions such as those found in the atrocious scenarios to which current geopolitics has accustomed us. They happen without the impatience with which success is pursued, without the planned obsolescence that dominates everything. Of course, resisting through slowness means reclaiming another way of imagining time, but also another way of thinking about space. To inhabit means to remain in a place, so lingering also means creating a space: a dwelling. Inhabiting this place, embodying oneself within it, is what the finalist artists from the Miquel Casablancas 2026 call do in this exhibition.
