Exhibition "Atentament. Patricia Esquivias"

The exhibition focuses on the epistolary relationship Patricia Esquivias has established over the years with people connected with her works. These writings, based on stories gathered or intuited and featuring open questions that often do not seek answers, form the starting point for the selection of works making up the exhibition. It includes pieces created throughout her career, some shown for the first time and others that have never previously been exhibited together. The project is carried out in collaboration with Caniche Editorial, which not only publishes a book containing the complete collection of letters but also takes responsibility for the exhibition's conceptualisation. Patricia Esquivias (Caracas, Venezuela, 1979) develops a practice centred on analysing social narratives and the symbolic codes that sustain them. Through video, drawing, photography and installation, she recovers silenced stories and proposes new forms of narration. Her work has been presented at institutions including CA2M, MARCO, Reina Sofía, Hammer Museum and White Columns.
