Grup de Fotografia Ulldepeix presents the exhibition "El cristal entre nosotros. Retratos de lo íntimo", a visual meditation on boundaries, loneliness and connection in the urban environment. In this collection, the window appears as a fundamental paradox: a thin transparent line that allows us to see but prevents us from touching. Through these panes of glass, the photographer becomes a silent observer of wordless stories unfolding behind the misted window of a bus, a café display window or the light of a home. Glass acts here as a shield preserving other people's privacy, turning everyday life into a “silent film” in which viewers must imagine the sound and narrative of the moment. The works explore the duality proposed by John Szarkowski: photography as a window onto the outside world and as a mirror reflecting the photographer's subjectivity. Through the narrative use of reflections, rain and condensation, the group challenges conventional perception, merging the subject with their surroundings in layers of overlapping reality.
