Exhibition "Las que no pidieron permiso" by Raquel Quesada Giner

Through video portraiture and poetic photography, this exhibition pays tribute to a group of older women from Barceloneta who challenged the norms of their time. The images reveal stories of strength, leadership, desire and freedom, building a living memory of the neighbourhood through the experiences of its protagonists. Participants: Ana Chaler, Begoña Casanova Ortega, Mercè Pujol, Mercè Ballester, Carme Benavent, Carme Berga, Carme Fernández, Lourdes López Molina, Cesca Camps. With the support of Pla de Barris de la Barceloneta, Taula per l'Equitat de Gènere de La Barceloneta, Programa APC (A Partir del Carrer) - Institut Municipal de Serveis Socials (IMSS) and Centre Cívic Barceloneta. In collaboration with: students from INS Joan Salvat Papasseit, Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta, OEpb Organització Estibadors Portuaris de Barcelona, Casanova Foto, Cotxes històrics SEAT Barcelona and La càpsula fotogràfica. Tuesday 24 November at 19:00. Guided visit to the exhibition with the participants.
