Port Olímpic presents the photographic exhibition "Minor White. Song Without Words, 1948" from KBr Fundación MAPFRE. The free exhibition is located at Moll de Gregal and forms part of the collaboration agreement between BSM, Fundación MAPFRE and l'Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB) to bring photography and performing arts to the new Port Olímpic. It presents a sequence of photographs by the same name, taken by the artist on the California coast, focusing on visual language and relationships between images. Minor White, a leading figure in 20th-century American photography. Minor White (1908-1976) is one of the most influential figures in 20th-century American photography. His work and thought helped establish photography as an artistic discipline within academic, museum and publishing contexts. Founder and editor of Aperture magazine and a teacher at leading institutions, White developed a conception of photography as a space for self-knowledge and spiritual transformation. His career was marked by a desire to give coherence to his work and convey his life experience through images, including personal tensions linked to his sexual orientation.
