Family Activity 'Leonardo da Vinci Domes - Rinus Roelofs'

Led by Núria Iranzo Domènech and Oriol Valentín-Fernández Gallart, PhDs in Mathematics. Discover the secrets of domes inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's designs and developed by mathematician and sculptor Rinus Roelofs. In this family activity we will build domes of different sizes using wooden pieces, including a large one that participants will be able to enter once completed. Through play and experimentation, we will discover how combining different polygons makes these surprising structures possible, encouraging creativity, teamwork and mathematical thinking. Workshop recommended for children aged 6 and over and adults.
