'Family History and Genealogy. Advanced' Workshop

Basic internet-browsing skills and completion of the introductory workshop are required. Are you already familiar with genealogy and want to delve deeper into your family lineage? We will continue exploring the recovery of family history through oral memory and preserved documentation. We will strengthen the foundations of a sound research strategy and use resources offered by parish archives, civil registers, municipal and county archives and other sources, identifying where and how to search. We will work with these sources in depth, automating search processes to make decision-making more efficient. We will analyse documents critically, taking account of multiple sources, scrutinising oral memory and comparing it with documented facts. We will learn to formulate research hypotheses, focusing on the final objective and progressing rigorously towards knowledge of our family past. Led by historian Manu Valentin.
