Basic internet-browsing skills are required. Researching any family history involves both primary historical records (civil, parish, military, notarial, etc.) and secondary sources —historiographical sources or oral testimony— in order to establish ancestry and gain a deeper understanding of our ancestors' lives. The reliability of conclusions will depend on the quality and combination of all possible sources. All evidence and conclusions, together with the supporting documentation, will be brought together to create a family history based on real facts. We will learn historical-research methods and help you formulate research hypotheses to shed light on the unknown. Our aim is to recover your family history. Led by historian Manu Valentin.
