KONICLAB returns to the Convent with a double programme devoted to intermedia arts and live arts expanded through digital languages: Qualia – You Matter to Me, by Laia Cabrera & Isabelle Duverger, is an audiovisual poem inspired by the concept of qualia, exploring human connection through consciousness, nature, memory and hope while fusing reality and imagination. New York-based Laia Cabrera & Co. is known for its international career in digital art. Headspace, by Alicia Champlin, is an immersive sound performance in which the performer's brain activity, captured via EEG, is transformed into sound through sound synthesis and live coding. Alicia Champlin is an intermedia artist and researcher specialising in generative systems, biofeedback and experimental interfaces.
