'From Imagination to Screen. Introduction to Fantasy Film' Workshop
21 November 2026 – 29 December 2026 · 11:00
CaixaForum Barcelona, la Font de la Guatlla, Sants-Montjuïc
Our imagination has some fantastic ideas, but... how do you get them onto the screen? This workshop will help you become familiar with the language and process of filmmaking and learn to make a simple fantasy short film. We will start with Georges Méliès and then, through simple practical exercises, go from idea to script, from script to filming (including some very simple special effects) and finally to editing, ending the workshop with a finished audiovisual piece or one ready to keep working on. Participants who wish to take part in making the short film will be asked to sign a brief consent form. Approximate duration of the activity: 3 hours. Workshop recommended for families with children aged 8 and over.
