"From Memory to the Present" Concert

Performer: Linus Montolio · piano. A piano journey spanning more than a century of Catalan music, from the early 20th century to the present day. The programme brings major figures such as Frederic Mompou and Enric Granados into dialogue with lesser-known composers of significant heritage value, including Palmira Jaque and Francesc Casellas (a pupil of Granados). The folk melodies collected by Jaque, Mompou's intimate poetry, Casellas's Romanticism and the expressive intensity of Granados in El amor y la muerte reveal the great richness and variety of Catalan music over the past century.
