Throughout history, opera has been the setting for some of the most intense, moving and universal stories. In this course we will explore some of the great works of the operatic repertoire to discover what makes them so powerful: the force of the music, the depth of the characters, the dramatic intensity and the way each composer has brought to life stories that continue to captivate us centuries later. We will analyse emblematic arias and scenes, listen to reference performances and explore how music, text and staging intertwine to build unforgettable sound worlds. A fascinating journey to understand the operas that have shaped history and enjoy them with a more informed, curious and sensitive perspective.
