'History of Ideas: What Do Women Philosophers Say?' Workshop

Philosophy runs through humanity without exclusivity. Yet it is clear that women philosophers do not appear in the history of philosophy until recent times. We must therefore try to reconstruct what they thought from fragments and clues. And we need to restore their voices and offer an account of their thought, their philosophical creativity: their work. We invite you to investigate the conditions that led to the isolation and disappearance of philosophy produced by women. Let us give them names and, if possible, faces, even if they can only be probable. Because their existence and ideas need to be recognised. Teacher: Xosé Manuel Díaz.
