Teacher: Rokayah Navarro. By the beginning of the 20th century, the United States had already become an empire. Women were beginning to demand the right to vote and, almost without realising it, the country was moving towards the First World War, when Woodrow Wilson's progressivism laid political foundations for the current system. The two great wars of the 20th century transformed not only the US economy but also its society and political-party system.
