'How to Look at a Work of Art: The Middle Ages' Seminar

In these two sessions we will learn how to interpret images characteristic of Romanesque and Gothic art, discovering their symbolism, religious function and historical context. We will analyse how artists and craftspeople conveyed ideas and beliefs through painting, sculpture and architecture.
