'I Am Roze' Concert

Show title: I Am Roze. Jazz, soul, R&B. USA. Nothing is ordinary in the story of I Am Roze, a Louisiana artist who identifies as trans non-binary and whose debut was far from conventional: one of their first live performances took place at London's Royal Albert Hall, performing their song Definition Of Happy with Nitin Sawhney. Today they are one of the newest and most highly regarded voices in soul and R&B, genres they turned to after losing everything to a hurricane in 2020. They were experiencing homelessness when they met producer Fred Again, who sampled some of the artist's tracks, uploaded them to Instagram... and revealed to the world an artistic personality whose admirers now include Lauryn Hill, Annie Lennox and Jill Scott. Their iconic performances have appeared at the Montreux Jazz Festival, on some of French television's most-watched programmes and now at La Mercè, in a concert that will mark their Barcelona debut.
