Show title: Imarhan presents Essam. Desert blues, rock - Tamanrasset, Algeria. Tuareg roots enter into dialogue with a contemporary and expansive perspective in the music of this project from Tamanrasset, in the heart of southern Algeria, performing in Barcelona for the first time. A leading name in contemporary desert blues, the group presents Essam, the fourth album of its career, released this past January. The album breathes community, landscape and experimentation, incorporating electronic textures and more open production without losing the hypnotic force of the guitars, rhythmic pulse and poetic depth of its sonic universe. The result is vibrant and elegant music, faithful to tradition yet always determined to explore new paths. Live, the band turns these songs into a magnetic and immersive experience capable of connecting the memory of the desert with the global present.
