This event has already taken place.

16 May 2019 · 09:30

Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya, el Poble-sec, Sants-Montjuïc

Through life stories, video mapping, 360-degree resources and more than 250 objects from the MAC collection, IMPERIVM. Roman Stories brings you closer to a diverse Rome. You will discover a Rome that evolved over time and became the first globalised society in the West, long before our own. The exhibition combines objects from the collection with cutting-edge projections that help us understand why Rome defined a way of being in the world and the legacy it has left us over the centuries. You will see mosaics, statues, inscriptions and sarcophagi, outstanding pieces from Catalan cities with a strong Roman past (Empúries, Tarragona, Barcelona and Badalona, among others), selected after an in-depth review of the collection.
