"(In)Fusión Flamenca" 24th Flamenco Series in El Besòs

La (in)fusión flamenca is a festival built around the arts that surround the world of flamenco and the various artistic disciplines related to it. Rooted in the Besòs i el Maresme neighbourhood, la (in)fusión flamenca also reaches out across Barcelona to become one more venue on the city's flamenco circuit. The Centre Cívic del Besòs i el Maresme organises and hosts this festival, which has featured artists of the calibre of Carles Benavent, Duquende, Montse Cortés, Juan Carlos Lérida and Rosalía. Flamenco is the calling card that identifies the Centre Cívic in the city and makes it unique. So much so that the centre's permanent flamenco training space creates synergies with its surroundings and makes it easier to learn about the concerns and trends of flamenco. This year we celebrate the 24th edition with a tribute to Ramón Baeza, choreographer of Increpación Danza, together with Montse Sánchez, figures associated with a renewing view of flamenco and contemporary dance. As part of this tribute, we are bringing back the chairs designed by Pablo López Buñuel for «Tablao», a work premiered in 2002 in which flamenco engages with new languages and ways of understanding the stage.
