"Infrarealism. The Permanent Insurrection" Exhibition

Infrarealism emerged in Mexico in the mid-1970s as a radical poetic movement confronting the dominant literary culture. In Manifiesto Infrarrealista (1976), Mario Santiago Papasquiaro denounced the state of art in the country and proposed a new conception of poetry based on the fusion of life and art. This exhibition brings together around 200 items, including letters, poems, books, posters and magazines, tracing the history of a movement whose best-known figure is undoubtedly Roberto Bolaño, but which also included many young poets inspired by the European and Latin American avant-gardes.
